Body Paint... :) sup?
Photographer: Ian Gattie [link]
Location: The Piranha Studios- Buffalo, NY [link]

I went out to Western NY earlier this month for the Opening / First Annual Meet & Greet of the Piranha Studios. I had a blast! After a while I got to talking with Ian about a shoot he was planning for the following week with Catherine. He was already scheduling a makeup artist and hair stylist so we were a little worried about adding a body painter to the mix. We bounced ideas off of each other until the day of. I came up with this sketch just hours before the model arrived.

So...
This is what happens when you get a Makeup Artist, Hairstylist, and Body Painter in the same room. Everything worked out time-wise, it didn't morph into a coordinator's nightmare. :)
That hot red hair spray...man, that was like radioactive, nuclear fall out or something. I'm still finding it, a week later. I can only image the model is still oozing hot red coloring as well.

You may remember Catherine...

So many images come to mind with this piece, varying from Tim Burton's red queen, to the steam punk scene.

The detailing on the ruffle of her neck piece is lovely, and is almost 3D in the shot. I love the individual corset stings in the front. It really sets a contrast to the whale bone bodice keeping her head up straight.

I also likes the tendrils of darkness from the neck piece to the back of her head, whether this was intentional or not it really adds flow to the boldness of the model's hair.

Her makeup is also stunning, the dark really matches your work on her neck and it suits the 'old age' look to this piece perfectly,

Thank you for sharing :)
