Mike's home studio was the last stop on my October tour. I had the opportunity to meet and work with him in August of 2009 during the "Down on the Farm" Meet and Greet Shootout.
So after spending three weeks in bustling cities, I had forgotten how quiet the suburbs can be. I made it to Harrisburg in the afternoon, had an awesome home-cooked meal and then slept like a rock for a good 10 hours. The following day was a pretty casual shoot, I never made it out of my pajamas!
The design was inspired partly by a pose I had seen here on DA (I can't find it now! My inspiration looks nothing like the final product though

) and by the designs of the maori or Native New Zealanders.

you really found the perfect model to do this piece. His stance is very 'Tarzan' like, and I think he suits the almost leopard-esque ferocity of the art.
My only dislike (and you can judge me for staring fi you want) is the obvious tan line of his bum. Covering that with some kind of toner would have completed the piece in my eyes.
Otherwise, this is a fantastic and fierce piece, thank you for sharing
